I am pleased to announce Paul Salmon will be joining Trojans on Wednesday 4th May as our new Bar and Catering Manager. Paul has a lot of experience in hospitality as both a bar manager and chef. I am sure you will join with me, in welcoming him to our club.
One of his first steps in ensuring a warm, friendly, safe and good value environment will be to add to the existing bar team; so if you know anyone who might be interested just get them to call into the Trojans bar of an evening.
Further positive news
We have finally found a contractor to commit to a timeframe for the restoration of hot water to the clubhouse and are hopeful we will be able to resume a full kitchen service within a couple of weeks.Paul has lots of ideas for our menu but many old favourites will still be available.
Unfortunately, hot showers will take a little longer to reinstate and are not likely to be fully operational until the end of June. Hardmoor will continue to provide cover in the interim and I thank you for your continued forbearance with this situation.
The current clubhouse continues to throw up various maintenance and repair challenges and this fully illustrates the pressing need to progress our plans for a new build. We hope to be able to share with you the initial design ideas from our appointed architect and further related updates very soon.
