Match play hockey returns at Trojans

This week Ian Bassett, the club's COVID-19 officer, has been putting in fast-paced efforts for the Trojans hockey pitch to meet England Hockey's 'Step 4' requirements to allow match play to return.

That's great news for all who were desperate to get back to playing competitive games!

However, there are a number of important tasks which all members, coaches, participants must complete first in order to participate in match play hockey:

  1. All players must fill in the below “Participation Agreement.” Any player who has not filled in the form will not be allowed to participate in any session at Trojans. Further information can be found on the form:

  2. All players must be aware of their responsibilities before, during and after participating in any hockey activity for Trojans. This has been nicely summarised by the England Hockey poster shown below.

  3. The club’s COVID 19 officer is Ian Bassett - contactable on 07500044005 and If you have any concerns or if you are showing symptoms, you must make the COVID-19 officer aware for track and trace purposes.

  4. YOU MUST REGISTER with your team’s coach, captain or manager for every session.

Here is what you now need to remember to do in and around your hockey games:

Here is what our main pitch entrance currently looks like when you arrive. You will have to follow the one way system when it is your time to use the pitch.

Dugouts are out of bounds and players and game officials cannot use them.

When you finish playing and using the pitch you have to follow the one way system to exit.

Follow the one way system out towards the car parks

The grandstand and slide-lines will unfortunately be out of bounds for spectators

Sanitising and disinfectant supplies have been stocked to clean facilities regularly
