Trojans Ladies 2s are seeking a Team Manager with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to assist the Head Coach in the smooth running of the team.

The primary role of Team Manager is to manage and organise the team and prepare them for match days. It would be desirable for the Manager to attend and support training sessions (Thursday evenings), organise the team for matches, and attend the matches where the Head Coach is unable to.
This is an important role and key to the success of the team. In this role you will work closely with the Ladies 2s Head Coach and Captain as well as work with the Head of Hockey Performance and Ladies 1s Manager.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Includes (not exhaustive);
Before the match: contact the opposition manager, umpires, and any other personnel appointed to the game
At the match: Pitch facilities and equipment check, facilitate substitutes, and sign match sheet at the end of the match.
After the match: ensure opposition and officials have access to changing / shower facilities and coordinate refreshments.
To be familiar with the league’s administrative processes and ensure adherence to the league’s regulations.
Other duties include:
Assist the Head Coach at training
Work with the Captain and Coach to confirm the selection
Oversee the registration and transfer of new players
Communicate training and game times and venues via Teamo - chase for availability if needed
Oversee player welfare and be prepared to act as a confidante for the players
Person Specification
The Team Manager will need to have excellent organisational and communication skills. They will be integral to the development of the team and will act as a point of contact for players.
Trojans Hockey is committed to supporting volunteers and will offer induction and further training if required to support the individual fulfill this role.
Remuneration
This role is a voluntary position. Travel expenses and one club membership will be paid for by Trojans Hockey Club (membership can be transferred to a family member).
