U12 Boys B deliver two great wins against New Forest and 3rd place Salisbury

The boys showed how much they’d improved with 2 great wins over New Forest and Salisbury. Some brilliant hockey moving the ball around exceptionally well.

First up was Salisbury, currently top 3 in the league. With Griff leading from the middle Will (F) and Henry created lots of chances on the wings with Aaron showing what an engine he has getting forward but also contributing to defence. Although we conceded initially, Aaron quickly got one back. 2nd half our defence improved thanks to Odhran and William S with Nathan making multiple key saves. Our attack really then started firing with Harry B scoring a cracker and Odhran also scoring from close range - 3-1 win to Trojans.

Next up was New Forest. Sacha and Noah helped provide a solid defence which allowed Griff and Aaron to find space on the break via Hughie, Harry (Bowyer) and Will (F) on the wings. Will (F) got us off the mark with our first goal. Harry (Baskerville) then again showed his reaction times in front of goal with a couple of great strikes. Probably shot of the day came from Henry which screamed just wide. Trojans won 4-1. The number of different goal scorers highlight how unselfish the team were consistently being, passing the ball quickly when teammates were open.

A very satisfying performance for the hard work in training this season giving us a chance to compete for top of the league.
